Scarborough the Queen of the Yorkshire Coast is a short distance from Arosa with it's fine beaches and ample entertainment for your to enjoy. Visit the Brunswick Shopping Centre, the Spa Complex and take a ride on the funicular railway down to the beach (there are two to choose from).
Whitby is also an interesting place to visit steeped in history (Bram Stoker was inspired here to write his book Dracula), walk through the Whalebone Arch, and climb the 199 steps to the Abbey ruin.
At Thornton-Le-Dale you can visit craft shops, art galleries, a small motor museum also Tea Rooms and Coffee Shops, take a stroll and see the thatched cottages by Standale Beck which runs through the town.
The North Yorks Moors National Park provides endless scope to relax, be it a gentle stroll in the countryside, a picnic or a visit to one of the National Trust properties or historic monuments.
